Policy on Pool Kit & Liner Shipments
All pool
kits and liners are shipped via common carrier truck, not
courier. As such the following terms & conditions apply:
YOU MUST CHECK THE GOODS
COMPLETELY BEFORE SIGNING ANY PAPERWORK. READ THE PAPERWORK
YOU ARE SIGNING FROM THE DRIVER. IT CLEARLY STATES YOU ARE
SIGNING THAT THE GOODS ARE IN PERFECT CONDITION UNLESS
OTHERWISE NOTED. CLEARLY INDICATE WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE
GOODS ON THE BILL OF LADING. FAILURE TO CHECK YOUR PRODUCTS
FOR DAMAGE AT DELIVERY WILL RESULT IN YOUR PAYING FOR
MISSING OR DAMAGED ITEMS.
1. Be
Prepared to Unload A Large Shipment
Pool
liners are around 200 lbs. Pool kits are around 2000 lbs.
and come in multiple pieces. You will need friends and
family to help you unload. Do not be rushed, particularly
if you see any damaged items, holes in boxes, or anything
that may be an indicator of damage to your product.
Carefully note all damaged items on waybill and sign it.
2.
Regular Damages
In order
to receive replacement merchandise at no charge,
you must note any damages on the waybill.
If damages are not listed on the waybill, we reserve the
right to not replace those items at no charge. We will of
course replace them for a charge of their retail cost plus
shipping, which must be paid to the dealer prior to their
shipment.
Photos
would be helpful to our freight claim if you have them, and
we will double-check the waybill with the freight company
before sending out items at no charge.
We do not
send damaged replacement pieces overnight, if you want that
service ask us for a shipping quote at the time of your
call. Shipping charges must be paid to dealer before
shipment. We do ship by the fastest means possible, whether
that is common carrier or courier, but it is always by
ground.
3.
Concealed Damage/Damages not Noted on Waybill
**Do not
store your pool kit before checking for any damages or short
shipments – we will not replace or reimburse for any
components past 7 business days**
If you
notice any concealed damage within the 7-business day period
allotted, and have not noted any damages on the waybill,
call us for resolution. We will of course be reasonable and
if the item is a minor one (i.e. a Vac Pole) we will send
out at no charge. If it is an appliance (filter, heater,
etc.) or a pool wall, we will not replace it at no charge.
Dents in steel pool walls are normal occurrences in shipping
and will not affect the structural integrity of your
installation. These can be hammered out. We will not
replace steel pool walls with dents.
4.
Missing Items
Back-orders should be clearly identified on your packing
slip, and will ship as soon as they become available. We
will never back-order “stop build” items such as pool
walls. If the missing items in question are not on
back-order, once again there is a 7 business day period
given in which to report short shipments. Please be sure to
thoroughly unwrap all skids and unpack all boxes before
calling.
5. Date
Promises
We cannot
promise that your pool kit will be shipped and received on a
particular day. There are many things that can happen with
freight shipments, such as trucks being late to pick up,
trucks being late to deliver, etc. As such, anyone from our
company and our supplier should be giving you “on and
around” dates rather than specific ones. If someone is
giving you a specific date, they are new to either company
and that date should be treated as an “on or around” date
rather than a specific one. We will ship your kit as
quickly as possible after receiving the order.
